We absolutely loved our stay at the Ka Hale Aloha. The only problem is that we weren’t able to stay longer! We loved the location (close to beautiful beaches but also tucked away from the tourist centers) and we loved how comfortable the house was. The beds were super comfortable with fantastic pillows (and I’m high maintenance about pillows). The kitchen was well stocked with all the appropriate things you need to cook. The mango trees surrounding the house were incredible! I have nothing bad to say. We definitely want to come back!

Carter & Shelby…Superhosts indeed…again!!!
Our first trip to Sugar Pine Speakeasy last year was truly unforgettable…no doubt it was a must to return this year!! It was just as cozy and welcoming as we remembered it to be and made our week away from home feel like “home”.
Upon arrival we were again greeted with the most thoughtful card and amenity making Bryan’s birthday so special and the perfect way to start our vacation.
Sugar Pine Speakeasy lives up to all photos and videos online and truly so much better in person! Every inch of this charming home is thoughtfully curated with care and love which we very much appreciate and enjoy. The neighborhood is quaint, walkable and easily accessible making it convenient to the offerings of the local west side community.
Bryan and I highly recommend Sugar Pine Speakeasy and Super Hosts, Carter & Shelby for your next Tahoe getaway!

If I could give Ka Hale Aloha a 100 stars I would. Not only is the bungalow gorgeous, it was spotless, had everything you could possibly need or want, felt cozy and private, was very aesthetic, and made you feel like you lived on the island. All the neighbors we met were so nice and helpful, we felt very welcome there. But most of all the hosts set Ka Hale Aloha apart from any other rental we have had. Shelby and Carter went above and beyond in every way possible, before, during and after our stay. During the last part of our vacation the first Kona Low Storm hit Maui and our flights were delayed 3 days. Shelby and Carter had already blocked off the days ahead of time anticipating that flight cancellations may happen because of the storm. Our flights were cancelled at 2am HST and Shelby and Carter reached out within hours to assure us that we had a place to stay. To say we were relieved is an understatement. It was a pleasure to be their guests and we look forward to visiting again soon! Don't hesitate just book this bungalow, it is perfect in every way. Oh and they had delicious cupcakes and champagne for my husbands birthday there when we arrived. Their kindness and thoughtfulness are unmatched to any host we have ever had. Plus there are resident turtles at the ocean front we visited daily and whales breaching in the not so far distance🤍Thank you Shelby and Carter for sharing your lovely home with us for a few weeks, can't wait to return to your gorgeous home and island.

The property has every amenity you could want for a wonderful stay in the woods. It’s warm, cosy, and beautifully designed, with a fireplace, board games, and plenty of space to unwind after a day of exploring Lake Tahoe. The A-Frame is full of charm, and the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
It was genuinely one of our best travel experiences. The place is a perfect size for us, and the kitchen has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful evening indoors sitting by the fire with a hot chocolate, listening to the rain, and relaxing in complete quiet. A cosy dream. The only downside was that we couldn’t stay longer; we absolutely loved our time here.

The Love Shack was the most perfect place for our first trip to Hawaii!!!
We loved every minute of our time here - the cute kitchen, the wonderfully comfortable beds, the AC that was cranking when we walked in after a long hot beach day, and the gorgeous peaceful mornings on the lanai sipping kona coffee. We also enjoyed walking to nearby beaches, the coffee shop and sushi! Book your stay at the Love Shack, you won't be disappointed!

Our stay at the Speakeasy was lovely! The home is so cozy and clean. The beds and linens are extremely comfy. And the communication with the owners was quick and easy. We loved the home and can’t wait to return!!
