Travelled to Maui with my two adult children, and initially we were looking at more of the resort feel. But my daughter really wanted a more "local" experience, and the Love Shack delivered! Was walking distance to everything, (i.e., an isolated beach, morning latte, restaurants, etc.) but it had a feel of exclusion, like you were a local person in a cool small home. Its in great shape, everything clean and up to date, and had one of our best family vacations ever. for sure coming back

Stayed here to celebrate my birthday with family. Carter and Shelby truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even left us cupcakes to celebrate. Also.. just to note… the beds are heaven! Shelby gave me the links to get the same for my home because it was the best sleep of my life… coming from a pregnant mama. We will definitely be back!

We just stayed for a week in the Love Shack, my oldest daughter, my son-in-law, my baby grandson and my self.
We really liked the non-tourist feel, with a chill, private porch, hammock chair and picnic table.
The washing machine and dishwasher were also key for us.
Food and coffee in walking distance and a couple grocery stores a short drive.
Just a few 5 to 10 minutes to my favorite Napili beaches and not far from Kaanapali and Whalers Village.
Quiet and comfortable. Unit is first one to the right of entry for easy access.

The place was cozy and spotless! Non toxic cookware and organic seasonings/spices for cooking, the jacuzzi was nice and hot. The host was responsive and the location was nice and quiet. Perfect getaway

We spent Thanksgiving with our daughter in this cozy A-frame and absolutely loved it, It is definitely in our top 3 rental experiences. The house is super functional, beautifully designed, warm wood everywhere, thoughtful decor, and lots of natural light. The space felt both stylish and homey, perfect for a retreat with family in the west shore of Tahoe.
The living room was great for relaxing, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the upstairs bedroom felt very peaceful and quiet. Our daughter especially loved the loft vibes and the comfy spaces to play.
Location was perfect, quiet, surrounded by trees, close to the lake and all north Tahoe’s best spots were super accessible.
A wonderful stay overall. We’d happily come back!

The property has every amenity you could want for a wonderful stay in the woods. It’s warm, cosy, and beautifully designed, with a fireplace, board games, and plenty of space to unwind after a day of exploring Lake Tahoe. The A-Frame is full of charm, and the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
It was genuinely one of our best travel experiences. The place is a perfect size for us, and the kitchen has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful evening indoors sitting by the fire with a hot chocolate, listening to the rain, and relaxing in complete quiet. A cosy dream. The only downside was that we couldn’t stay longer; we absolutely loved our time here.

Beautiful property. Everything was great . The place is close to one part of the lake (walking distance) there’s a few stores close by. I would go back to this place 100 times ! Very clean and cozy.

Our stay at this Lake Tahoe cabin was simply wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we could tell that the hosts have put so much care into making this space welcoming. Every amenity you could want is right at your fingertips. The kitchen is astonishingly well-stocked, cooking here was a joy. The hot tub was impeccably clean and the perfect way to unwind. But it’s the little touches that really set this place apart, like the pre-started toilet paper roll so you don’t have to fuss with it, which is just one example of how much thought the hosts put into guest comfort. Communication was outstanding; they replied almost instantly and even had the cabin ready for us the same day we booked. Overall, this place truly felt like a home away from home and we can’t wait to return!

We loved our stay! Was a lovely and peaceful place to come back to after a busy day of exploring Maui. The hosts were super helpful and responsive, the beds extremely comfortable, and we had plenty of space. Would definitely recommend!!

The Sugar Pine Speakeasy was a home away from home. This place had everything you could think of, even heated bathroom floors! Carter & Shelby were great hosts, super communicative, and my family appreciated the frozen cookie dough they left for us to bake. Highly recommend this place ❤️
